Two Brooklyn gangbangers could get up to 50 years behind bars for murdering two women in a random attack that occurred nearly two years ago.
Anthony Alexander and Nazir Saunders were both convicted of murder in Brooklyn Supreme Courtroom for their part in a random shooting that claimed the lives of two young mothers who lived in the Stuyvesant Garden Houses.
Both Chyna Battle and Shaqwanda Staley were in a group of about 20 people who were hanging out in the courtyard of the housing complex when Alexander and Saunders fired into the crowd trying to kill a rival gang member.
After the killing Saunders and Alexander fled New York and hid out in Rock Hill South Carolina until the police caught up to them four months later.
According to an article published in the New York Post, Chyna Battle and Shaqwanda Staley both left behind young daughters.
Saunders and Alexander are set to be sentenced on June 10.
